We present to you our most popular and original Beef Biltong, made with our famous family recipe. The process of making our biltong comes with over 40 years of experience, perfecting it over the years to produce tender biltong which has come to be loved by many. It is all made in-house by Susmans Biltong at our factory in Newhaven, so you can be sure of great tasting biltong every time. You can even purchase pre-packs which are great if you are new to biltong and want to try out the different flavours!

Our traditional biltong is made from grass-fed Aberdeen Angus beef cattle, using only premium quality meat. Susman’s South African butchers hand cut the meat and spice with our secret family recipe. It’s then finely cut into sticks and slow dried for 5/6 days, to produce tender Lekker tasting biltong.

Biltong is not only a tasty snack but it’s packed full of health benefits so you can feel a little less guilty when you are tucking into your favourite treat. It is full of protein and has little fat content so it makes the perfect choice if you’re on a low carb diet or looking for your protein fix after a gym workout.

One of the best things about working from home nowadays, is that I don't have people trying to pinch my Susman's biltong! I go for the "Little Fat/Medium" option, and it is amazing every time. Honestly one of my favourite snacking options out there (the other one being the Beef Jerky from here!). Forget the stuff you see in the supermarkets - it doesn't hold a candle to this. Consistent, high quality, meaty goodness - every time.

After asking around my South African friends where can I get the best biltong in the UK they all told me Susmans and I was not disappointed. This is the most tender and tasty biltong I've ever eaten. Over almost the last decade, I've ordered a fair amount of biltong and other stuff from Larry and the amazing family at Susmans. I've had it delivered to at least 2 different European countries that I've lived in. I have a confession; last month I cheated on Susmans...I bought some biltong at another shop as I needed a "quick fix". Wow, was I disappointed with what I got! I have been getting biltong periodically from Susmans for at least 15 years so far (nowhere near as frequently as I would wish!). The products are of a superb quality, the biltong second to none and lots of South African specialty foods, drinks & spice mixtures. Packaging & delivery excellent, and on the one occasion a packet of biltong was spoilt because the packaging machine had not sealed it properly, I was sent a replacement the next day! Great service, great lekker South African taste!

I tried this bilton last year but there are plenty of options so decided to shop around. Having been appalled by the level of E numbers, additives, even hydrogenated vegetable fats (!!) in other products, I decided to stick with Susmans. The quality and taste Susman's beef biltong is so good it's better than any I've had in South Africa. As a South African, detribalised since 1977, I used to bring biltong back to the UK over the years, only to find that the best quality was available right here in the UK. I Bought 1.5 kilos as a birthday present for my wife at short notice, so used the next day delivery option. I bought 1kg of biltong and 1kg of droewors and gave it out as Christmas presents to my daughter, son in law and son. They enjoyed it so much and said it was one of their favourite presents. I also had some leftover for me which I thoroughly enjoyed and had to stop myself eating too much so that I could still eat Christmas dinner :

There is a biltong shop in Krugersdorp North which makes what I always thought, was the best biltong ever. Have to say though if one has to live in the UK the closest taste of home is biltong from Susmans. I am just about to put in another order just in time for Christmas - my treat to myself, not sharing this with anyone!

I always thought no one could beat Buffalo Downs biltong, well I was wrong, Susmans is amazing, not sure if it the spices they use or the fact that it is high quality of the meat or both. I live in Angus and enjoy Angus steaks but the Biltong made from Aberdeen Angus beef is second to none. You wont find tastier biltong than Susmans in the Northern Hemisphere! Lekker stuff.
